What We Grow at P & H Farms
We are row crop farmers who pride ourselves on producing quality grains for niche markets while improving soil fertility, prioritizing soil conservation, and maximizing biodiversity.

Corn
Since 1996, P & H Farms has grown non-GMO white corn to tap into the growing consumer demand for non-GMO corn products. We have nearly 30 years of experience in growing, handling, and marketing non-GMO white corn.

Soybeans
Soybeans are an important commodity to the profitability of our company. P & H grows both double-crop and full-season soybeans, as well as non-GMO and GM soybeans. Our non-GMO soybean production began in 2018 as a way to diversify our operation into another niche market.

Wheat
P & H uses winter wheat as a primary cover crop for our operation. The wheat is planted in the fall and harvested in mid to late June. Following wheat harvest, we plant double-crop soybeans to utilize the added nutrients the cover crop provided.

Our Distinction
what sets us apart
01
Grain Storage Capacity & Scales
P & H Farms has the capacity to store the majority of our crops to allow for efficiency during harvest and risk management in our grain marketing strategies. Both of our facilities have scale systems that we use for all inbound and outbound grain. We value documentation in the shipping of our grain to maintain accurate inventory levels.
03
Effecient Growing Standards
We pride ourselves on our ability to grow premium grain products that are used for food sources across the world. P & H Farms uses biologicals in our starter when planting corn and soybeans to promote natural nitrogen fixation, along with fungicides to promote superior crop health. To improve soil fertility each year, P & H Farms applies 2500 tons of chicken litter and utilizes the compost from our cattle operation for fertilizer. Plant, soil, and crop health is translated into premium grain quality.
02
Location
Our main grain storage facility is located in Eddyville, Kentucky off of US HWY 62, 2.5 miles from I-69, 4 miles from I-24, and 5 miles from our local riverport with grain offloading capabilities. Our facility joins a rail spur that has access to implement rail car loading of grain commodities. Our location allows for efficient trucking via interstate, rail, or river barge.
04
Grain Handling
Proper grain handling strategies are important to maintaining the quality of our grain. We use premium harvesting equipment to begin the process of handling the grain with care. Our grain facilities have grain dryers that are used to dry the commodities to satisfactory moisture for storage. We use modern technology in moving our grain throughout the facilities and have bin sensors to detect any potential hazards that could affect the stored grain.
